Daily Random Game Ideas.... and Possibly other stuff

What if there was a massively online multiplayer game where you could fight against other people with crazy powerful weapons and stuff and just die in ridiculous ways, just for fun? Like Guns that shoot a quick ray of energy that hits another person and they stop moving as their head balloons out with their character screaming hysterically, funnily, and then their head exploding to the horror of any nearby other people's characters. it would be first person, until you get hit with something that you need to go to third person to see its effect on your character.

Or how about a grenade that's basically just a black hole that you can throw onto any surface and it sucks any player characters within 100 feet into it and spits you out to die in the harsh coldness of space. Singularity grenade, more than one kill gives you half credit for all kills, who needs an explosion when you can suck everyone out into space lol. Maybe you'd have a gun that shrinks down another player and then you can catch their shrunken character and store them in a flask at your belt, or step on them, or whatever. But you'd have to keep the beam on that person for like ten seconds to fully shrink them and if they, or someone else, can manage to kill you they'd revert to regular size.

Maybe you'd have a razor-wire grenade that explodes and wraps around the enemy slowly slicing them into a messy meat pile within 3 seconds. Maybe someone who has played longer than you has managed to make or trade for an item that protects you from some of the weird happenings in this game and you just go around fucking them up with a sword or other melee weapon. Maybe this item would have to be made with parts you got off the dead bodies of the people you killed that had weapons like that.

Perhaps you could enslave player's characters and become a tyrant and it would take a group of other players to bring you down, or other characters those people made to free their characters and kill yours. Respawn times would vary depending on how you die and how evil/good your dead character was, altho you could switch to another character and complete a quest line of some sort to bring your tyrant back. Whenever you log out your characters would become NPCs and wander around grinding for materials, or perhaps some other task you assigned them. So maybe Tyrant Guy, lets call him Tyrannos, goes around with his other character killing the ones who killed his Tyrannos to absorb some sort of essence from them into a bottle or ring to take to the dead body of his other character and revive it.

Characters who encounter each other multiple times develop an affinity, Hate or Love depending on the types of encounters and this influences how the characters behave towards each other when one or both of their players is offline, and you'd get a report of what happened with your character while you were gone when you logged on, perhaps a short cinematic or something if they fought each other or had adventures together. If they have a Love, well actually i'd call it a Compionship affinity... and hate would be a Nemesis affinity, and yes you can tell i have Shadow of Mordor on the brain. Perhaps once you reach a certain level of hate, it would start out as dislike, then hate, then nemesis. And for the other like, love, companionship. Anyway, if you have a companionship affinity with a character and you die that character, while they are an NPC would perhaps go do quests to revive you.

It would also be cool if you have like a Hate or Nemesis affinity and you're fighting with the person you have it with and know you're gonna die, if their character is currently an NPC, and you know dark magics, you can jump into their body as you're dying and go questing using their character to revive yourself, deepening the hatred between your characters. Also would be cool if there was an offline mode which kept imprints of the characters you have an affinity for so you could still play with/against them.

How about being able to build player residences that with enough planning and explosives other players could destroy? What if these players were in their own individual game worlds, that had random access portals from other game worlds, and once you're in someone else's game world you have to complete the main storyline to gain access to a code that will allow you to come back at will if you use it at a portal. What if the game was run by an A.I. that observes your choices and tailors the experience to your current likes/dislikes? What if every aspect of the game was so detailed you could learn how to do anything, non-magic based, just from playing the game. And because their is an A.I. tailoring the game to your desires no play through would ever be exactly the same, and each play through would probably follow chronology from the last play through.

What if people who have played through their own game world 10 or more times become more and more powerful, basically God-Characters within their own worlds, and can start directly manipulating things in their own world. And what if they could create a ring, or some other wearable item that grants them a portion of their powers in other people's worlds, unless that person is a God-Character as well, then permission would have to be granted. If you can defeat a God-Character and steal their item, you get to use a portion of their powers and abilities, whatever they imbued the ring with, you can also trade these items with friendly gods. If a God-Character jumps into another's world potentially the A.I. could work them into the game's story depending on what they do in your world.

These God-Characters' powers and abilities within their own world are directly related to what they spend time doing and learning, they are NOT just all-powerful beings, when they make an item to take a portion of their powers and abilities into others' worlds they can imbue 3 powers and 2 abilities to such an item or a diminished power level of all their powers and abilities, so they're not much more powerful than a regular character, but they get to keep what they have. Taking say, gun-wielding abilities and a gun into another players' RPG world where he uses a sword and bow, your gun would be effective perhaps against some of the creatures, but barely effective at damaging the world owner.

Unless you've jumped into a multiplayer free for all world instead of a personal world, then your powers and abilities may be diminished but your weaponry is not.

What if you had a camouflage grenade that attaches itself to the wall and looks like a health/power up pack, but explodes when someone tries to use it, or perhaps if they stand next to it for 3 seconds.

Or perhaps a spider surveillance spike that pours out six very small spiders that you quickly maneuver to watch certain areas for your team, if someone stumbles across the surveillance spike and destroys it, you lose that advantage, and of course the guy who is watching those six screens can't defend himself, but so long as the spike is up he continues to watch and report troop movements. Also, you would be able to hide the spike, it doesn't have to be in the open, like hide in a tree trunk or something, or possibly use some camp-foil to put it in what looks like an empty area no one would check out.

What if you had a weapon that slowed down kinetic motion, movement or time if you like, in a 50-100ft radius until it depletes, in probably 10-15 seconds but your teammates are unaffected. Weapon fries and has to be repaired by an engineer teammate, taking 10 seconds once they get to you. Such a weapon could turn the tide, unless they have one too, while two opposing weapons of this type are active the effect is canceled out. Also if they have a Redundancy Shield the effect is turned back on the enemy, the guy using that weapon, and they can't shut it off till the time runs up.

What if this game was completely accessible from any device that plays video games, and the A.I. running it adapts the controls and play style to the device currently running it?

God i can't wait to play Evolve, the BigAlpha is only 16 days away.... the waiting is torture. Can't wait to play as the Monster and perfect my skills fuckin up the Hunters.

Anyway, what if there was a weapon of some kind that when used on another player for a certain period of time, without the other player knowing it, their kills were credited to you. If they commit suicide that kill is attributed to you and thats the last one you get credit for.

What if you could set up a kill box area that slows down kinetic motion to pretty much nothing so your enemies move in slow motion as the area makes their character age super fast until they die of old age and crumble into dust. Perhaps it could be some sort of timed grenade effect, or a cordoned off area, or maybe the grenade can be thrown down whenever and it blankets a certain area and only dissipates once it has killed someone.

What if there was a hallucinogenic grenade that makes your character see things that aren't there and makes them incapable of seeing the person who threw the grenade while it is in effect. Or you hallucinate them as something else, like some gigantic monster or something.

How about a personal force field that directs projectiles back at the shooter. Or a force field that absorbs any damage you take and splits it into health for your allies. Perhaps a game type where you have to kill the person with such a shield and they can't be killed until all their teammates are dead and there is no one left to heal so their shield shuts off.

What if there were grenades that allowed you to choose in which way you would like to be disabled. You get hit and up pops a prompt of whether you would like to be A) Blind, or B) Frozen, 3 seconds for either, A) Gun Jammed, or B) Button/Control Scheme Reversed, effects last 10 seconds, A) Explosion that kills/damages, or B) Removes all Projectile Ammo, etc.

And perhaps when someone hits a killstreak on the opposing team, your team gets to vote on what they receive for doing so, Tie-votes leave the deciding vote in the hands of the person who got the killstreak. While a vote is going the game is frozen and timer doesn't move, each person is given 10 seconds to vote, killstreak tie breaker guy gets 5 seconds to break a tie, so a maximum of 15 seconds before the game resumes.

Or how about a series of buffs and debuffs that cover the whole map if activated at the right time, but if not activated correctly or at the right time the console detonates, killing the person who attempted to do so and penalizing them with a 1 minute respawn time?

How about a game where one player gets randomly picked to be able to freeze, slow, or reverse time in the multiplayer matches, he can't do or take damage, he's just the time-keeper, but maybe if you offer him something in trade he will alter time for you character for a bit.

Or a game where it's massive, multiple worlds, created by an A.I. to be tailored to the individual's taste, but there would be Portals to other Players' Worlds after you'd played through a few of the variations the A.I. comes up with for a game to your tastes, with ongoing chronology and lasting environmental effects in your world. Enough playthroughs in your own world and you can rise to become a god and be able to switch between playing a character or playing with the whole planet you have. Your character's God powers would be further developments of whatever you specialized in before Transcending your character's physical body.
